Being half one in the morning and all.
Paraphrasing what I got back from FT- Ship is silent, everyone either sleeping or in a drug fueled paranoia. You were Casy, but now you are infested with Zerg.
Proof being in the pudding, I am Casy, so you definitely have something. Our problem is that to the best of my knowledge I'm still town
As for my decode, here goes.
Input:FlashAaaaaAaaaSaviourofTheUniVerseDunDUnDun
The problem is that you didn't encode your role... you gave us the theme music to Highlander by Queen. I mean if you we worried about rana breaking your code, and you already used Vigenere and a cipher key of length equal to your input - effectively uncrackable - you could have put in 'cop' or at poC, or CxOxP or something. It was just Name and we've got that, Flash, but nothing else.
Now, I totally believe you targeted me with a night action, and if you had actually had cop in there I'd just say 'Yep, I'm probably Zerg, I've been worried about that possibility' but absent that, no, I can't be sure you're not lying. That's a very scummer-like choice of encrypt, a vague indication of a power role.
Now, I've been worried someone hit me with something, I had 'nausea' this morning, which is surprisingly absent from the cheerfully horrid list of Stimpack side-effects, which I think are the same for all of us. I didn't initially notice that, since my night message makes not of feelings of worry and hearing noises and paranoia and hallucinations are definitely on the cheerful list of sideffects, nausea I simply included without thinking about it and noticed it wasn't one later. I mean, it's a side-effect one just assumes would be so, but it isn't on the list.
Now, as the Revolving Door of Evil, I always take special note of who suggests Hypocopping - incidentally it's about an even 1:1:1 mixture of investigators, townies thinking with foresight, and scummers looking for the cop who suggest it - and I always look at the HCT and especially people who find me guilty. 'Force of habit', only not really, people target me on night 1 like crazy and I've often been forewarned even as a townie, people often HC their night target even as a scum roleblocker, in case they got tracked.
Still, since I saw the HC by you, the HC suggester, and noted that nausea wasn't a side effect listed, I've been going 'Oh, crap, they laid eggs in my brain' and to be fair, 'Oh, well, if I hatch into a zerg meat puppet it will make winning much easier, just for the other team' and less optimistically, 'but not if Stephen copped me' and 'no, no, he'd say something, if he really did target me last night he probably isn't the cop and he's afraid he got tracked or watched.'
So I baited you, you got that one on the head

First: MyNameIsCasyWhichMayIndicateOurNamesAreNotRandomSinceCaasiWasMyOldUserID
Key: StarcraftWasAFunGame
Output: ErNrovIxVwsqWmcpnMmcAgdzertjHqrFaryfGrqRgmRrpuorLenueHunyiIekFyFnuUxxnIV
Second: IHaveAStimpackAndAGuassRifleAndTheStimpackIsLikeABP
Key: ButTotalAnnihilationWasBetter
Output: JBtosTSeizcijsLnwIUhwskSmyeiRoxMasLttmcnkrQdLbssNXP
And I think everyone can guess what my Night Action was, though I do have a little more in my quiver. Apparently I'm raw vanilla now though, with the protoss dead, if rana is to be believed, or Zerg if you are, or Zerg to come.
Now I had been trying to think of ways to convince everyone that some effort should be made keep me alive, and Rana's comment's regaridng our medic were doubly rollercoaster because I was wondering if the doc had a cure-all against Zerg too, and that's why he was so sure. A time delay cult makes perfect sense as a way to weaken the town to less steamroller near certainty of victory, especially if it can be cured and oh, how like FT to carefully leave of nausea on the list, where most people will automatically assume it as a side effect of their stimpack, as an indicator of Zergdom.
However, you've opened the window to two other possibilities that now make feel I maybe ain't a Zerg-in-training. Option 1, you're lying, we're LyLo and you only need to survive the day. It's very weird for a role, as I mentioned yesterday when I was undeniably town, for a power role not to encode their role given a chance, and you could hardly have been that worried about Rana cracking your code and outing you, since not only had he and I both nodded our heads about how insanely hard and not worth it cracking a Vigenere is but that Rana had by then exposed Yuna as a Protoss when you coded. Meaning at worst you thought he might be a Zerg and if your thoughts had seriously considered that option you'd have investigated him, the other Revolving Door of Evil that has 'recruit me to your evil cult' written on his forehead.
So there's the other option, fresh in my head, my 'nausea' might just be from you mind-probing me or hitting me in the junk with some radioactive 'Meets Dominion Safety Standards' X-ray machine or the like. And I don't have eggs in my brain or some crap, and maybe the noises I heard weren't hallucinations or some zerg sneaking up on me, they were you sneaking up on me.
So, at this point, I'm not quite willing to accept as a given that you are a cop, and fall back on the defense just to 'psycho cop' which is true about 1 out of every 4 games, or a desperate, 'but I can be cured maybe!', because I'm not so sure I haven't just let my own natural non-stimpack paranoia override the fact that you are acting very scummy and that my 'bait' backed you into a corner. You were reluctant to code, you coded little of use and nothing pertaining to the role, and I don't accept that an actual cop, especially thinking they'd nabbed Yours Truly, would wait through an HC on a game that already had role/name encodes and was assumed LyLo.
Your strategy just doesn't make sense. I mean, what's the logic chain here? 'I need to HC so people know, even though there is no way this day will end without me revealing I'm the cop'. That would be believable... except HCing was your idea. Investigators are always worried about suggesting it, with good reason, as a tell. If you were the cop and had found me guilty you would no with absolute certainty that I would notice that and would be staring your way the whole day... so my message wouldn't have been 'bait', you'd already have been thinking 'He knows'. You'd know there was no reason to delay on outing me because you'd be sure that even if I wasn't sure you were the cop I'd be thinking it a serious option and maneuvering my every comment to point away from anything useful and every 'clue' I might drop would be WIFOM on crack.
So your decode was like the best news of the day, because I don't think I'm a townie about to turn Zerg anymore and I can stop thinking of ways to try to convince everyone we should avoid a possible LyLo situation and divert a doccing on the off chance we might find out something useful or spin against the ~25% chance you're getting false positives.
Another one that throws doubt on this? I've been alluding to my concerns about being a possible Zerg all day, if others haven't noticed it, and I bet a lot have especially now that I mention it, you didn't. Why? Because as cop thinking I was Zerg cultist you for some reason weren't perking up your ears every time I talked cult? No, that doesn't make sense... how about because you knew everything about the Zerg cult to begin with and weren't really all that interested in what you assumed was generalized theorizing?
Consider, this is day 2, 90%+ of all Day 1 and 2 lynches are initiated by myself or FT, well FT isn't here, so to speak, and I've been very reluctant in these recent smaller games to initiate one. Heck, I came up with the protoss SK and zerg cult dynamic we're using, on day 1 of Day 1 and I still didn't vote for Yuna. So the bad guys need to get a lynch going, they can't rely on the usual suspects to do it for them, and the best way to get a lynch going is with a cop claim, especially with the big ????? as to if we even have one.
But I'm not voting for you yet, besides it having some OMGUS, as nice as I've painted that picture it's flawed to. Why was I nauseous if no one actually targeted me? MY BP couldn't have repelled an attack, it doesn't explicitly mention 'protection from Zerg' like rana's apparently does. Did Ft perhaps himself just assume nausea to be an obvious side effect and used it in the flavor but forgot it in the medipack general flavor? Possible but improbable. Even if so, how do you know my name? Wa sit just an easy guess off Casy-Caasi, which you'd definitely remember and know FT would too? I mean, everybody else is a real word - Flash, Fantasy, Sync, etc but Casy, so was it just a real obvious guess? Let's be honest, that is terribly obvious and a snowball's chance to be random.
So there are a lot of questions now, and I want some exterior input, because I'm a little too centered in this thing and prone to over-thinking and WIFOM.
The intuitive mind is a sacred gift and the rational mind is a faithful servant. We have created a society that honors the servant and has forgotten the gift.
