Well it's been a week, not a few days, and explain the logic on this one. Assume he is the cop and nabbed me. 8 player game, he now knows there is a cult with two players, it's been commented on even by then that we're 5-2 LyLo doomed to lose if we don't lynch right today, even if he didn't already think of it which he certainly did... why bother suggesting HC? There is literally no way he could envision the day ending with out him RCing and pointing the finger at me, so he doesn't need a HCT and he merely draws my attention by suggesting it then HCing me guilty. Let's forewarn the game's most notorious schemer that I'm the cop for no possible advantage? Improbable.

It does help though if you want to establish a sort of mental hook up to the idea that you're a cop when your code makes no mention of it. I mean, I don't expect you to just believe me, heck, Stephen could be telling the truth, he could be psycho or I could be infected or he could be the cop and telling the truth about that but infected himself. My point is his strategy here was not very logical at best, and suspicious at worst. Put yourself in his alleged shoes and ask how you would have proceeded? Is there any chance at all you wouldn't have included your role in your code as cop? That having done that, and in this apparent LyLo, you'd bother suggesting Hypocop?

Look, why haven't we Hypocopped of late? Answer, two fold, one our games have been small enough we've been RCing pretty much consistently on Day 2, no point, and we've gotten into the habit of coding our roles, so nobody needs a HC as a partial verification of their role later... 'No, I'm the real X, here's my Day 1 coded RC as proof'. There's no need for a HC, certainly not right out the gate a few hours after the day started prior to any other remark, it screams 'I want to HC' which rather defeats the purpose.



Yeah, and look at my reply to your post... I'm pretty sure that is the 'bait' Stephen's referring to, though until you said that I thought he replied to me, indexing and tab overs on these long chains can get a bit confusing and I was baiting him so...
