It is a night of yells, screams, gunfire and explosions.

It takes about twenty seconds for everybody still alive to gather to the remains of Flash's and Fantasy's bunk. The stench of dissolving neosteel is overpowering, and the mottled remains of walls, floor and ceiling are still sizzling from the acid that has eaten through them. Of bodies, there is no trace.

Four remain. Boxer, Never, Mind and Sync. It isn't hard for you to deduce who exploded then, it must have been Casy.

"Do you think Casy was the only one?"

Sync looks at the others. "Not very likely."

"Hey, Never, why've you still got your visor up? This smell ain't any worse than yours."

Never shrugs, and opens his visor. And the Terrans recoil at what they see. Never's mouth has vanished behind a sack of flesh that blows in and out like an external lung, with tubes connecting to his neck. His face is covered in a thick, horned plate of chitin from which glowing red eyes appear to be staring out of deep caves. Before you can react, the left arm of his CMC armour burst apart, and a ridiculously overmuscled arm ending in massive, razor sharp claws burst from the shell's remains, slashing Mind's throat open.

With lightning reflexes Boxer jumps back and starts pumping Never full of spikes, and suddenly Sync is there, but rather than shooting at the Zerg, he turns his A-13 grenade launcher on the Marine. And that is the last that Boxer perceived of anything.

Never gasps in pain as his flesh starts slowly healing around the wounds. Then, without sharing a glance, he and Sync head out to serve their next purpose for the eternal will of the Swarm.
