I was thinking of either free-form, or setting up a more structured game with a Dungeon Master. Since my last attempt to use standard D&D rules brought the game to a crashing halt, I've been thinking of cobbling up something very simple and basic so the flow of the game could go uninterrupted.
The first rule of being a ninja is "do no harm". Unless you intend to do harm, then do lots of harm.
