Because it's impossible for anybody else to achieve any other result, and the usual deterrent to a standoff - the Day ending without a lynch from inactivity/lack of progress - is the desired outcome anyway.

Just saying.

The first rule of being a ninja is "do no harm". Unless you intend to do harm, then do lots of harm.
