Ful Farath was a nice town, bigger than most villages in the area, but still twice as small as the littlest city in all of Kandor. The population was a generous and caring lot, crime was very small and those who did feel the seed of evil in their hearts soon repented and became upstanding citizens. The town couldn’t have been a more peaceful place. And beautiful! Nestled in the forests on the south rim of the country, they enjoed the mountain backdrop and gorgeous tree cover. During the spring an summer they enjoyed the songs of the many birds that inhabited the region, wild deer and bear often grazed the green grass that grew on the edge of the town. The fall was filled with the colors of changing leaves and the scampering of rabbits and squirrels storing up for the winter. Oh and the winter itself was a wonderland of crystal snowflakes and white oceans of untouched snow. Why they were even some of the most gregarious people in the land! They even allowed a traveling band of Tuatha’an park their wagons in the gates of the city. It almost helped you forget the horrors that the Blight held just leagues to the north.
So of course it was a shock when the town was set ablaze on summer’s night. The town was enjoying its peaceful slumber when out of the blue came the smell of smoke and a hazy warm glow pierced the darkness. The townspeople came from their houses and were met with shock as soon the houses around them began to burn, and so far away from the initial fire. Screaming women and enraged men watched as their houses burned down around them. Sadly, not everyone woke from their sleep until it was cut short by a fiery death in their beds. The surviving townspeople hurried to the unburnt part of town, which happened to be the part that first was set ablaze, and everyone dropped to their knees in stark terror. Their beloved mayor’s home had been razed to the ground, but the truly terrifying sight was the dead corpses of his family strung up in the tree in the front of his home. But it couldn’t stop there, no the town had built up too much of the Light’s good graces and it was time the Dark One had his equal reaction. The council members lay on the ground at the base of the tree, skinned and kneeling as if they were bowing to the bodies hanging in the tree.
The only solace the big town could find was that they mayor, against all odds, had survived and was being added by the town’s Wisdom. Greatly shaken up, and apparently shell shocked from the horrors he had witnessed, the only thing he could do was stammer that the town was on complete lockdown and all surviving citizens must relocate to the Harkonnen Inn. The Tinkers who remained in their camp would be able to stay but any who strayed into the city to help or survey the destruction would be moved to the Inn as well.
Well there it is. Once everyone has received their roles if you could state that you are here and ready to play we can begin! The end date for the day is tentatively set for October 16th, but if you feel like deciding on a Lynch of No-Lynch sooner, that’s good with me.
