Forbidden, but not impossible! Perhaps the consequences of doing it are acceptable if it's the only way to save the universe.
So, I have a new semi-theory. What if the Doctor DIDN'T mess up when arriving 12 years late? What if there's something wrong with the village? Like how there was something the Doctor noticed (but didn't understand) about the duck pond, but then got distracted and forgot.
What if time is messed up in Amy's village? Perhaps for some reason related to whatever's wrong with Amy. What if the Doctor really DID just hop five minutes into the future, but in that five minutes, life in the village progressed by 12 years?
That might be a loopy and complely nonsensical theory, but my mind is currently captured by its shiny newness.
