Most of the critics hated it, hence why it hardly got any press or coverage despite one of the best runs around. 10 seasons, 200+ episodes, no particular awards, no particular fanfare around it, except from the many many loyal fans.
Personally I loved it.
It does take a while to get going as it's main selling point is the relationship bewteen the characters and as with all series they take a while to find their feet. I'd say it starts to get good around Thor's Hammer. It then goes through many good years, with some awesome episodes and some lackluster ones, before beginning to collapse in on the weight of it's own universe around series 8, I gave up before the end of 9 I think. I'll go back and finish it some day.
