Worse, I think, is what it says about Jack's kid - he isn't real, just a ruse to get Jack to play along. Dick move, 815 guys.


Jack's kid was presumably also an important figure for Juliet, who saw her sister have a child, and lived years on the island trying to help people have babies, but never had one herself. She also had a relationship with Jack, presumably, that didn't work out for them because both of them unconsciously wanted to be with other people.
