I could give you the long and drawn out version, but I'll get to the good stuff.

The daughter of the (new) President of the IRK...well she told her mom (the new President) that the reporter lady called and said that she had information and proof that the Russian government was behind her husband's murder.

So Mrs. Hassan went and spoke with President Taylor. It finally came out that yes, the Taylor did know about it, and was covering it up to keep the peace agreement going. Well Hassan flipped and said that she would expose the cover up and never sign the peace treaty. Taylor retorted by saying that Hassan will sign the peace treaty and keep her mouth shut, or she will attack the IRK and destroy the entire country.

So flip over to Jack. Chloe, Cole, and Arlo are the only ones in all of CTU which kinda know what's going on. So they are tracking down Jack to find/hide him before he doesn't anything really bad. Well through a series of pretty cool attacks (most notably on the main aid of the last president, whatever his name is) Jack broke through the security surrounding the UN. Jack was planning a hit on the Russian President who was behind Hassan's murder, as well as the one who ordered the death of Reanee.

Well they do find Jack....Choloe goes to confront him in this storage room which has a really good line of sight for kill shots on the Russian President as well as the (sleezy) former US President. Jack was going to make the kill, but he's talked out of it by Chloe. In order to not get "killed on sight" and to maintain Chloe's cover, she shoots Jack. He lives and is captured.

Flip back over to the UN....The US President, Russian President, and IRK President all know that eachother knows what's going on. But they put up a good front for the world. Well they go to sign...Russia signs. The IRK signs. Taylor goes to sign, then cannot. She then tells the world that she's not going to sign, and that she's been doing bad things. No public confession of what, however.

Well right before this, Taylor (passively) gives the approval for Jack to be executed by some black ops forces. Well they attack the ambulance and take off with Jack. Since the President told the world the truth, the former President is now all freaked out. His head aid expresses the desire to come clean about everything to President Taylor, but the former President kills him. He then puts a gun in his own mouth & pulls the trigger. He survives, but prognosis unknown.

So Jack is on his knees, with the guy about to execute him. They get a phone call...its President Taylor saying "Let him go." They comply. She & Jack have a conversation, where Taylor is essentially saying "run"....she tells him that Russia will certainly be hunting Jack...and the US will have to as well. There is one last conversation between Jack & Chloe (very heartfelt), and then it ends.

Ultimately....wide open for 24 the movie.

So believe it or not...that is the short version. Plenty of stuff went down in the last 2 hours. It was good...if rushed.
