I did not like the Dalek episode, but I really don't like the Daleks. Overall I think he's doing a good job as the Doctor. I especially like that he is kind of bad-ass in this series. "be afraid, be very afraid, I'm bad-ass" is really working for the show as a whole I think.
I like that aspect of this season; however, I don't feel like he is able to deliver it well with his characterization of the Doctor. He's an intelligent, bumbling idiot...I don't really like the combination.
And it worked then too. I think it's working this time too
