They wanted to tap into the market that not only remembers the "Karate Kid" movies but also the people that like kung fu (the folks who great up watching "The Matrix", "Kung Fu: The Legend Continues" and other kung-fu action flicks from Asia.

That's the name in China. "Karate" is just the term Americans recognize for martial art.
