The opening of the Hungry Earth episode is about the complications of meeting yourself at an earlier/later date.

And also, the watch the jacket doctor has also looks like Rory's watch in that episode. But I can't get a proper look at it.

And I'm fairly sure that same watch is attached to one of the oars in his ... contraption in "The Lodger".
