McCreary's music does add a whole level of emotion imlad Send a noteboard - 22/06/2010 11:45:31 AM
I still cannot believe sometimes that they went to the extent they did with the music for BSG. McCreary's stuff is as potent as any soundtrack I have heard for a movie, and quite often more beautiful. What his music elicits at an emotional level for me completely shapes the whole viewing experience; from tension to joy to sadness to mystery and wonder, it is all there.

I would think that without his music the show would not have been nearly as successful at pulling its audience in, getting them to commit to the characters and the story at a raw emotional level.

In both series, I blame the music. I cried in BSG when Roslyn died. In LOST, I got misty a lot when they'd pump up the sad music, especially when people (like Penny/Des) were reunited, but didn't *really* get nailed until main character deaths and the final ep.

With a record like that, you can bet I hate the creators of Finding Nemo and Up for constantly tugging on heartstrings through music.
Death to the Regressives of the GOP and the TeaParty. No mercy for Conservatives. Burn them all at the stake for the hateful satanists they are.
