is a scary movie. My whole family watched it together the other night, quite a fun time. 
There were some parts where it dragged a bit, and some of the effects were a bit eh, but overall I liked it a great deal. It was scary without being gory or otherwise stupid. One of my favorite parts was when the mom tells her son that's its okay now because she helped Samara get out of the well and the little boy freaks out and is all like "SHE NEVER SLEEPS." Hahahaha great moment.
So, what did you think of The Ring? Anyone seen the Japanese original? What are your favorite scary movies, and why?
