If it had absolutely no continuity connection to the tv series. Make it 100% stand-alone. Have Depp be the one, the first, the only Doctor, give him a TARDIS and a companion, introduce the Daleks as brand new enemies meeting the Doctor for the first time, and go from there. Then I'd be okay with it.
If they tamper with the show at all for the sake of a big budget movie, I will be upset.

I need to to follow naturally from the show. It cannot be something stupid and "romantic" like the 90s film, but I could accept it if it centers around an attempt to extend his regenerations or some such. It might make it possible to recreate Gallifrey -- money is an issue there I think -- for a moment.
And I NEED it to be under the control of Moffat. Basically, it has to be just an extra long, and rather fancy, episode which follows after Matt Smith's Doctor's regeneration (once he is sick of the show).
As long as Depp's not a part of it. I think it'd be better if it were something like a theatrical special, keeping Matt Smith on. Of course, it could go the route of having his regeneration, but I think it'd be better served as something that is still in the continuity of the show, yet you could do without seeing it. Like the Christmas/Easter/New Year's specials, only occasionally (and slightly) referenced in the show.

I'll probably ignore it, like I have with the Sherlock Holmes thing recently *NM*
