I went around ignorantly calling True Blood "Twilight for grown-ups" and it turns out they are totally different! In True Blood, the attraction between the human woman and vampire is based on the fact that the HUMAN cannot read the VAMPIRE's mind, whereas in Twilight, the VAMPIRE cannot read the HUMAN's mind! Boy do I feel stupid for making such a mistake!
Also, it turns out the whipped, safe guy with a crush on the heroine in Twilight shapeshifts into a completely different species than the whipped, safe guy with a crush on the heroine in True Blood! Canis Lupus and Canis Lupus Familiaris are like, not at ALL the same!
So sorry ladies. I'm having flashbacks to grade school when I couldn't tell the difference between Jem and Barbie & the Rockers.
