I've most recently seen Charles Dance as the malevolent lawyer, Mr. Tulkinghorn in the miniseries version of 'Bleak House' (which starred a surprisingly amazing Gillian Anderson as Lady Dedlock--Dickens sure did come up with great character names). About 10 years ago (more?) he starred in a remake of 'Rebecca' in the lead role previously portrayed by Laurence Olivier.

His characters seem to ooze charisma and malevolence.
The chief difficulty Alice found at first was in managing her flamingo.
