Seriously, I watched maybe a half hour of it and I don't know if I can watch the rest. I need to know that the son doesn't get killed or raped or stuck alone because the father gets killed, etc. I heard that the father has to kill the son so he isn't eaten or something? Or he thinks about it? The person who told me this didn't see the movie.

He doesn't kill his son to avoid him getting eaten. There are several times when he thinks about it and a time when he even shows his son how to off himself.
This movie was well done, but wicked depressing (as a father).
