I just started watching Torchwood as well, and you know in the 2nd or third episode, the hand in the jar? Yeah.. that's
The Doctor's hand. You'd know that if you watch both, and you'd also know why it's important (won't spoil THAT).
But it's stuff like that, so far, that I've seen that connect the two - aside from Captain Jack himself.

Things like that are fun to look for and catch in spin offs. Makes me focus a little bit more too, which is no easy task!
