The rest of the season after that two parter is pretty amazing. There is one episode called Boom Town that isn't so hot, but it's important to the following episodes, so it works.
Have to sleep sometime, right? 
I'm enjoying these so I'm looking forward to the next few episodes. Even if Boom Town is on par with the two parter it will still be watchable.
I'd rate it as slightly better than the two parter, but not much better. You're in for a group of fantastic episodes though. The next one in particular is excellent. Possibly my favorite episode of the entire series.
The rest of them were really good and I definitely think it hit stride at the end of the season. Empty Child and the first half of the finale where great (Bad Wolf). I find myself frustrated by the new Doctor though. Seems week, compared to Eccleston. Seems like you all approve, so he must get better in Season 2?
Season 2 has some very good episodes. The second, "Tooth and Claw" is one of my favourites; "School reunion" is sometimes excellent, sometimes very silly (I think it works better if you know Old Who); "The Girl in the Fireplace" is a little out of joint with the story arch, but one of the best stories seen on its own; it also contains the only two Cybermen episodes I have ever really liked; and "The Impossible Planet" and "The Satan Pit" is also a very good double, despite introducing some stuff which Davies gets much too fond of and overuses later on. And the season finale...
