I came across this by accident, figured it might be interesting to some and give people a chance to discover some movies they don't know about. Certainly works for me - tons of movies that sound interesting that I didn't know about. Or we can just argue about which movies should be higher, lower, not on the list at all, were grievously snubbed, etc. Or just boast about how many (or how few) we have seen. All the fun things one can do with such a list!
Obviously there is more info about all the movies at the link (including a section each time on whether a remake exists or is in the works, which is just all kinds of wrong), but I'll just copy the list here (as it stands now, I understand it can change if enough people vote to change the order). Empire seems to have the strange policy of translating some titles and others, particularly the French ones, not, but I'm too lazy to do the titles properly except in the cases where I personally had never even heard of the English title, so you'll just have to deal.

Since it's "World Cinema," does that automatically exclude U.S. films? *NM*

Not only that, it also seems to exclude British, Australian and other English-language ones.

No one minds Australia's exclusion. All they make is bad Jackie Chan films. *NM*
