You know, the people who go to movies just to watch things blow up and therefore think "The Dark Knight" was actually a good movie.

I liked Dark Knight largely for Ledger's Joker, one or two Morgan Freeman lines and Eckhart's Harvey Dent was okay. I don't really associate explosions with my memory of the film other than Maggie Gyllenhaal's, and her character's, very justifiable fiery death.

The people who buy the extra jumbo popcorn bucket after having just had a jumbo plate of ribs for dinner and then don't understand why they're obese.

So people who watch 3D are
1) Intellectually deficient.
2) Suffering a lack of proper bathing.
3) Ridiculously fat and gluttonous.

That's the generalization you believe accurately characterizes people who see a movie in 3D?

The sort of people who go watch the Bourne movies and think they're realistic.

Is this your "I hate everyone who screws up anything Russian" schtick or something else? I honestly can't say for sure because I don't watch the Bourne movies. I've tried a few times and I keep falling asleep.

They don't care that 3D is a cheap, unrealistic effect even now. They don't care that it's probably ruining their eyes (I won't go to a 3D movie if you pay me just based on how it makes my eyes feel if nothing else).

Hmm. My exposure to current 3D technology is limited to things I've seen at Disney World (I don't get out to the movies much). I haven't sat through a full blockbuster feature in 3D, just things like the show in Animal Kingdom and the Muppet one at MGM and Captain Eo at Epcot. But I found them very enjoyable and I didn't suffer any headaches or eye pain (and my right eye and left eye do not normally have the same accuracy of visual perception, so I'd probably be as susceptible to issues as anyone).

They don't care that they have to pay $3 extra that they probably really can't afford. No, it's time to go watch shit blow up. Whoo-fuckin-hoo.

Even if you saw as many as five 3D movies in a year, that's still only $15 in additional fees over the course of a year. What kind of poor, stupid, dirty, fat people can't afford a $3 bonus? If I dropped $3 on the ground of a busy, breezy sidewalk, I'd let it go and keep walking. $3 is not that big a deal.
