Greg Berlanti was the guy behind the "vaccines cause autism" episode of Eli Stone (which was an awful show overall), so the utter vagueness of the "research science" in this show is easily explained by the fact that this guy clearly knows nothing about science.

I'm probably not coming back for Episode 2. I like Benz and Chiklis, but this show was disappointing in every way.
