Martin Freeman is Bilbo Mark Send a noteboard - 22/10/2010 09:52:21 AM
Well it has been rumoured for ages and for a while there it looked like it wasn't going to happen due to Freeman's Sherlock commitments, but it has now been confirmed that Freeman will play Bilbo in the upcoming adaptation of the Hobbit in what I feel is some excellent casting.

In Dwarf news it was also announced that Richard Armitage shall be playing Thorin Oakenshield, Aidan Turner will be playing Kili and Rob Kazinsky will be playing Fili.

It is also rumoured that Stephen Fry, Bill Nighy and Saoirse Ronan are in talks to appear in the film, with word saying that Nighy could be providing the voice of Smaug. Could this be enough to actually get Camilla to watch these new films?
