I found myself watching it and waiting for the hook. You know, the one big moment in a series pilot that grabs the viewer and says, "This is what the series is going to be about." Well, I never really found the hook...and it didn't matter.
This isn't a show about zombies so much as a show about survival. There was some gore (you can't get around that with zombies) but there were no real scary moments so for those of you who are wusses, fear not.
Characters are superb, acting was great and Darabont is on of the best directors out there so I am very excited about where this series can go.

The zombies were an element to a greater story. It wasn't out to scare as in the horror genre, but to tell a story. AMC did a good job with this. Can't wait for next week's episode.
The past is just that, the past. You can only truly live by looking to the future!

Not all drama is soapy. Zombieland was great, but this is high quality so far.
