They took everything that made Stargate and dropped it in the trash, never to be seen again.

My sister and I watched all of the first two Stargates together. She watches SGU and says if I tried it again not expecting Stargate I might like it. I've never quit on a show mid season before, but I felt no compulsion to go back after the first season break. Maybe I'll try again later, but it was definitely not what I was expecting.
