It obviously shows the settings for TV shows, but other than that, what's the point of it?


I think it's supposed to tell us the particular shows set in each state that have the highest overall ratings--probably worldwide, since it lists Baywatch for California.


In the USA SEINFELD got higher ratings and was a phenomenon, but worldwide FRIENDS is way better-known and more famous. If it was worldwide, FRIENDS would definitely get the New York nod.

Also, THE WIRE's ratings were pretty low. I'm sure there's other shows set in Maryland that got higher ratings.
