Most important question is, is the picture filling the entire screen? No "black bars" on the sides or top and bottom during normal programming (during commercials is OK- commercials are often filmed in standard definition, and don't always fill up an HD screen)?

Except for a few very rare cases (sports), this drives me nuts for movies and shows. People are getting broad faces and bodies, it just does not look real. I rather switch to 4:3 or 14:9, which looks better both in quality and proportions. I don't see how that makes me enjoy less HD, I'd even say: more!
