I remember when it was airing on TV. I heard that theme song for the first time and laughed my ass off. It was atrocious, and the shots of horses breaking left and right as Serenity passed overhead was just stupid.

I immediately thought, "oh, great, we're gonna get a space train robbery and a space whorehouse, and a space cattle drive, etc..." I was right that all those things were in it, but the writing and characters were really good. Some folks might still be put off, though, and might want a little more.

Given how short firefly was, it doesn't hold a candle, in my mind, to Farscape. But Firefly was a good show, and I wish it had more air time (and non-nerd recognition)...
