I was confused by how Sansa was still 13, and the Joffrey character looked much too young in comparison to her. Yes, girls grow more quickly, but it would have been relatively easy to age up Joffrey too, right?


Jack Gleeson, who plays Joffrey, is 17, IIRC. Sophie Turner is only 15. She is VERY tall for her age though (she was as tall as me a year ago when I met some of the cast, and I'm average in height). To put it in context, she's only a year older than Maisie Williams who plays Arya, but the difference looks much greater on TV.
