A terrific actor, though slightly typecast. He's carved out a niche playing badass old guys, usually wielding some kind of battleaxe. He did that in BRAVEHEART, TROY and THE LAST LEGION, as well as a guest turn on MERLIN in the same sort of role. He's also done some other solid work (and, a bit randomly, was Father Christmas in the new LION, WITCH AND THE WARDROBE movie) over the years.
