I know CG has improved to ridiculous degrees, but I still cringe at the thought of CG direwolves. But whatever works best, I suppose. Thanks for the interesting information.
The critters they have masquerading as dire wolves at the moment are already pushing the bounds of credibility. They just have none of the ferocity that they're supposed to have in the books. The director did all he could with quick shots and dramatic music, but neither of the dire wolf "attacks" looked like anything of the sort. I'd love to see the wolves get some CGI scariness thrown their way.
