I HIGHLY recommend you read it. It's not really a case of "Oh, I've been told this story, I don't need to be told it again." The book just has a million subtle little things that the movie can't really duplicate... and when it DOES duplicate them, it's much easier to miss (guarantee you'll notice dozens of little background notes in the movie once you read the book).


There are an awful lot of things on that list though.
I amuse myself.
