I couldn't take another two hours of potter feeling sorry for himself in the gloomy woods. In the short term they will make loads of money off these last few movies but in the long term they will fail to become classics because they seem to assume you have already read the books. I will watch the movie but only to complete the series but it is a near thing after suffering through part one. The excuse that it is only half of a book doesn't fly, I paid to see a whole movie and I expected a whole movie. If they couldn't break the stroy up into to watchable sections they shouldn't have tried.

That change had to be made, just like Frodo/Gollum/Mount Doom.....

I certainly think you're in the majority, re: 7.1 being easily the best movie in the series. *NM*

Yes, no surprise that you'd have more tolerance for the changes.

The books are more coherent, more humourous, and more complex, to sum it up.
