And amidst all the eye patch people (the monster-viking playing chess had one as well) - it is more of a surprise to me how well they did the aging makeup on Amy Pond - when she lifts her helmet in a portion of it she appears older, but not anciently so. Makes me wonder how/why we see an older Amy ...
The fighting/battle scenes, the creepy dolls, the hotel out of a King novel, all of it seems to be a huge leap for production value as well as plot development. The breaks drive me batty, but so far this wait might be worth it.
Pausing the trailer did show me one or two other things to consider, but with trailers it's best not to make assumptions as it is too non-linear to be tied together coherently.
