One of the issues I have with the HBO series, is it really lacks any sort of subtlety of the books. Theon's eventual betrayal, Renly's gayness, etc - It hammers you over the head with them. I'm not a fan Kit Harrington, I've been thoroughly unimpressed with him as the series went on. I find Roz the whore and her screen time annoying as hell. Minor quibbles, really

All in all, I do feel it's quality television. I admire the production values, which are impressive, also the majority of casting is well done. And overall I feel it follows the book as realistically one can do in this type of medium. It's not perfect by any means, but it's good.

One can't argue with success and I hope the series continues being successful because I would love to see more Fantasy in this type of medium.
