Never even said it was bad. I was already quite aware that I was in the minority in not enjoying it, although had I known I was treading on sacred ground, I wouldn't have brought it up at all. I had no idea some people would be so defensive at the mere fact that someone didn't enjoy the series.

I will try it again though, at least until I get to the scenes Cannoli recommended. As I mentioned elsewhere, I have been wrong in this sort of thing before, I remember hating Erikson's Gardens of the Moon, but discussing it with people I was persuaded to at least try the second book, and I never regretted that. Of course, other times it doesn't work out so well.
