And it wasn't unique - we had to endure bad humour by Jar-Jar binks all the while being shifted to a serious fight between Obi-Wan/Qui-Gonn and Darth Maul. That never happened in the original series, and rightly so. You can't throw the audience around between levity and despair and expect them to get into it.


What about shifting from Ewoks taking out the Emperor's finest legions with rocks and a tiny glider to Luke/Vader/Palpatine on the Death Star?

Or maybe that just me because the latter is my favourite passage in the series and Endor always makes me facepalm.


True, there's really no defense against that. "An ENTIRE LEGION of my BEST TROOPS."... heaven help them :P
