The whole thing annoys me. I definitely think that books should not be included in the "What? That's popular culture, why would I know anything about it?" reaction, especially not if they might have ever been discussed in school. But I also find it unlikely that any genius (I'm thinking of The Big Bang Theory here in particular) would be able to be super-informed about nerd movies/games and not have ever encountered any "regular" flicks. I can understand not knowing current Hollywood crap, but any modern person will at least have seen the previews before LotR or Star Trek, etc.


I have officially given up on Big Bang Theory.
