I'd have to put more thought into it, but the first movie that came to mind..... Jeordam Send a noteboard - 25/10/2011 05:02:28 PM
Would be Alien.

The original movie was, in my opinion, just shy of perfect. I think that its aged so well, because it was filmed so well. The monster/creature effects are done in such a way, as the viewer's imagination fills in the gaps.

Sure, some of the tech stuff (specifically the monitors/TV screens) are old school, but it lends to the feel of the movie of a bunch of working class people flying through space on a job. They aren't heros. They aren't marines, or scientists. They are just your every-day man/woman. The timeframe just happens to be in the future.

If they ever did a remake, it would probably be filled with CGI and special effects....green screen tech...and ultimately would be *too* polished.

Full Transparency Moment: Alien is one of my most favorite movies of all times. Its in my top 5 most favorite movies of all time.
