I don't know that Nathan Fillion would make a good Doctor, but I wouldn't mind seeing him in a cameo appearance, perhaps as another Time Lord named The Captain or The Hammer.
It looks like I'm not the first to (jokingly?) suggest Fillion for the role, though. Check out the facebook page below.
