The Blair Witch Project scared the shit out of me. I wanted it to be daylight and everyone to get out of that bloody forest.
The Exorcist was pretty scary the first couple of times. It's not as bad anymore, even though the atmosphere is still unpleasant and unique.
Sixth Sense and Signs had a few scenes that ran shivers down my spine.
I know The Birds scared me when I was a kid, and still I watched it each time it was on.
The Descent was the only recent film I can think of that really scared me. Most new horror movies rely to much on being disgusting which isn't really what I find scary.
