Not having seen lost I can't comment directly but as good as lost was supposed to be how can having a lostian (I love that word) opening act be a bad thing?

I just meant that the opening scene was very reminiscent of the opening scene of the first episode of LOST. Main character wakes up, doesn't quite know what's going on at first, looks around to see catastrophe on all sides, people hurt and screaming for help, explosions, etc.

It wasn't a bad thing, exactly - I just have a feeling that's why they cut to a "four hours earlier" so quickly, rather than lingering for a couple of minutes, to reduce the similarity.
I am made of poison.
