What is really funny, though, is that apparently "socialism" is the dirty word that you have to throw at anyone and anything that you don't like these days. Somehow Martin is glamorizing a "socialist revolutionary army" at the expense of the "traditional family unit".
The only thing I can think of is Dany's mob, but really that is hardly glamorized, and really serves to illustrate her shortcomings as a ruler, leader or responsible human being, so I can't see how Martin is glamorizing anything with her.
