I saw it in 3D, but I always do if it's available.
The film was highly entertaining and I felt engrossed the whole time. It was so nice to watch a movie that was pure entertainment without someone trying to shove some sort of moral or political lesson down your throat.
I was reminded of Star Wars ep 2 several times, but most of the time the creatures are entertaining and well done, and the mars dog is just the coolest pet ever. Excellent casting, and Mark Strong is diabolical as usual.
I'd watch this movie again, and I'm going to add it to my DVD collection.
