They showed a "full episode preview," commercial free, during Olympic prime-time coverage. Apparently they're really pushing this show hard. And, surprisingly, it's not that bad. Matthew Perry has gone back to the neurotic, energetic character type that he plays best, and his supporting cast seems solid. The plot is formulaic and predictable but that's to be expected. The dialog is snappy without seeming artificial and (with one exception) wasn't plagued by ad-friendly one liners. I thought it was genuinely funny quite a few times.
Anyway, it won't revolutionize the genre by any means, but if you like sitcoms you could do a lot worse than "Go on." It's funny, less annoying than most and has characters with good potential. As long as your expectations aren't too high, I'd definitely recommend checking it out.

Anyone watch "Go on" last night?
