I know it's been out for a while, but I should practice what I preach
Anyway, I enjoyed it quite a bit despite its many, many flaws.
The Engineers salvaged it for me. Wow, they were amazing. I thought their design was fantastic (and drool-worthy
) and I was just really interested in their back-story. Too bad the movie didn't reveal as much about them as I wish it had.
But hey, I did get to see one of them go on a genocidal rampage and chase around the Final Girl at the end, and it was hot. So I left the theater happy
I appear to be in the minority as far as both liking the movie and liking the Engineers though, since most people I've talked to can't shut up about how disappointed they were the Engineers weren't giant elephant-monsters, like in the original Alien.
But hey, I originally wanted them to be giant elephant-monsters too, and the new design won me over. That might be because I'm a lady though...then again, most of the female fans of this movie like David over the Engineers, and I hated him
So yeah, despite the huge plot holes, interesting ideas that are brought up but never explored, questions that are never answered, unlikable characters with no development and no brains, and the various other things that irked me about this movie, I still enjoyed it. I have a feeling it's going to be one of my guilty pleasures
Also, there are action figures. That final Engineer will be mine!
Then I will kiss him. Then I will make him fight Red Skull
Oh, and speaking of haters, if you're bored some time, check out the imdb page for this movie. The message board is populated by nothing but people who loathe the movie with every fiber of their being and fanboy apologists who think it's the next "Citizen Kane." Their antics are even more entertaining than the movie itself

In the interest of fairness, I refuse to discuss this without having an Antimetheus opinion present. *NM*

Meh. The movie was OK, I feel like it tried to do too much and didn't finish anything it started

Nothing in this post can spoil the film as badly as the script writer did, so it could be worse *NM*

The Vickers stuff is pretty annoying. There are no good villians.
