Re: Foreign movies! nossy Send a noteboard - 28/09/2009 05:53:53 PM
Do you enjoy watching foreign movies? Animated or live-action?

Yes, both.

What are your all time favorites?

Amelie, Castle in the Sky, Hero, House of Flying Daggers, Once Upon a Time in China

Which cultures (nations) films do you find yourself most interested in?

Asian. Can't get much different than American movies.

Do you prefer dubs over original language, in live-action and/or animated?

I like both. It doesn't bother me unless it's supposed to be a very powerful movie but I can't stop giggling at the ridiculous dubbing.

How did you find yourself becoming interested in foreign films, (i.e. Audrey Tautou obsession, Asian horror obsession, general interest in foreign culture)?

Different-than-what-I-have-shoved-in-my-face-every-day Obsession.

What 'hyped' foreign film has let you down upon viewing it (if any)?

Curse of the Golden Flower
How do you feel about remakes, are there any that have been pulled off successfully?

I am generally able to like them, but there are some I don't enjoy (Chocolate Factory, anyone?) This isn't foreign, but I LOVE Sabrina.
