Can you think of a TV/movie family whose kids go boy, girl, girl, boy? Cannoli Send a noteboard - 26/08/2012 01:06:33 AM
I have three brothers with kids. The first one had three boys and has a girl on the way. The fictitious parallel should be obvious for me, of all people, so that's taken care of. The second one had two daughters and a boy last week, so he's the Dunphys from Modern Family (and probably a bunch more). Our third brother has a son and then two daughters, with another kid due in December which we just found out is supposed to be a boy. And I can't think of any families, besides the Aybaras, but Wheel of Time is a bit too obscure to use as jokes. Also, my brother would probably be bummed to get such an inferior family, and I am not confident in his eldest son's capacity to avenge the whole clan if push comes to shove. He's on his way to duplicating Ned Stark's except he does not have a bastard son around the age of his eldest, his wife is not a total bitch and the anchor who is to blame for most of the family's current problems. Although we DO have a spunky younger sister who is the best horseman in the family, I don't see her getting carried off/eloping with Chris Christie's son and heir and providing a kid who could pretend to be my brother's bastard. So they can't be the Starks either.

I would really appreciate it if anyone could cite a sibling arrangement which starts out BGGB (even bigger families would be welcome because then we could tease his wife about the goal she has to reach). I'd prefer if they were a match for the Corleones and the Dunphys, but if they're not, it's something else I can tease him about anyway. Thanks.
